RESEARCH AREAS
Understanding CVD
An effort to understand the foundations of colour blindness (CVD),a research was conducted in order to explore the root causes of this condition, specifically the genetic factors that influence how we perceive colour.
Types of Colour blindness
This research explores the distinct variations in how people perceive colour. Understanding the most common red-green deficiencies to the extremities of complete colour blindness, where the world appears in shades of grey.
The Restrictions
Colour blindness can cause hurdles in daily life. Some professions, like electrician or pilot, have restrictions due to the challenges in recognizing colours or tasks like reading traffic lights can be trickier. However, with awareness and adaptive tools,
people with colour blindness
navigate these limitations.
4/10 colour blind students avoid schoolwork or activities involving colour
Only 20% of teachers adapt schoolwork to accommodate colour vision deficient students
1/4 were teased by classmates or teachers due to being color blind
The Challenge
The biggest challenge : Co-exist
For conditions without a cure,
the most critical change comes from fostering an accepting environment.
Goals
This awareness campaign aims to spark realization, deepen recognition, and cultivate lasting awareness
Hence, the target.
Target
Anyone with a normal vision of colour
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Insufficient self-awareness and knowledge on colour blindness.
This limited understanding keeps the issue hidden and undiscussed.
